Third culture kids – An insight into their World (Lecture)

Dear FSEs and FSE-partners,

we are happy to invite you to a virtual lecture of the Internationaler Freundeskreis (IFK) in Wolfsburg e.V., that is specially addressed to you and your family.
The project „impressing international“ is a cooperation of Volkswagen AG, IFK and the WMG since 2019 – in the future we will develop interesting offers and information for people who are new in Wolfsburg, abroad returnees and intercultural enthusiasts.

The lecture „Third culture kids“ from Mrs. Ann Wöste points at the chances and obstacles of children going on an international assignment with their parents.

Ann Wöste is a certified coach for children and youth and is herself a mother of two children who spent the majority of their formative years in foreign countries. Children who accompany their parents in foreign countries are named third culture kids (TCK). A life in a different culture offers wealth of experience and possibilities but is sometimes not free of emotional turbulent times.
This lecture shall give you a better awareness of a live with several movements between foreign countries. Many possible hurdles can be avoided when there is a better understanding for the way of life and the perspective of the children. Afterwards there will be a panel discussion with representatives of IFK, WMG and Volkswagen Global Assignments to that you are also kindly invited to.

When? Tuesday, December 1st 2020 at 2 pm (14:00Uhr) duration: 90 minutes

The event will be held in German but will be recorded and will be available in the following with English subtitles. You have different possibilities to take part.
